The Acurite 00291E is a digital timer designed for both count-up and count-down functionality. It features an "always on" display that enters sleep mode (00:00) when not in use to conserve battery. The device includes a magnetic back for easy mounting.
Operation
Setting the Time
- Press the MINUTES button until the desired number is reached. Hold the button to activate rapid advance.
- Press the SECONDS button until the desired number is reached. Hold the button to activate rapid advance.
Using the Timer
- Count Down: Enter the desired time using the MINUTES and SECONDS buttons, then press START/STOP.
- Count Up: Press the START/STOP button without entering a time to begin counting up.
- Stop: Press the START/STOP button while the timer is running to pause the countdown.
- Clear: Press the CLEAR button to reset the displayed time.

Common problems
Ensure you have entered a time using the MINUTES and SECONDS buttons before pressing START/STOP. If no time is entered, the timer defaults to count-up mode.
This indicates the timer is in sleep mode. This is normal operation and does not drain the battery.
