The Acurite 00291E is a digital timer designed for countdown or count-up functionality. It features a magnetic back for easy mounting and is always on, with a sleep mode that displays 00:00 without draining the battery.
Operation
- Setting Time: Press the MINUTES or SECONDS buttons to reach the desired time. Hold the buttons down for rapid advance.
- Countdown Mode: Enter the desired time and press the START/STOP button. The timer will count down to 00:00 and sound an alarm for 1 minute at 75 dB.
- Count-up Mode: Press the START/STOP button without entering a time to begin counting up.
- Stopping/Pausing: Press the START/STOP button while the timer is running to stop the countdown. Press it again to resume.
- Clearing: Press the CLEAR button to reset the display to 00:00.
Safety and Maintenance
Warning: Do not place the unit on hot surfaces or grills. Do not submerge the unit in water.

Common problems
Ensure you have entered a time before pressing the START/STOP button. If no time is entered, it defaults to count-up mode.
This is the sleep mode. Use the MINUTES or SECONDS buttons to set your desired time.
Before use
- Install 1 AAA battery (not included).
- Ensure the surface where you intend to place the timer is not hot.
- Verify the timer is not being submerged in water.
