Table of contents

Quick guide from the manual

The Aiphone MY-DC/A and MY-DG/A are PanTilt door stations designed for use with the MY Series Video Entry Security system. They feature 2-wire audio, video, and PanTilt control. Key operational requirements include using non-polarized parallel cable and ensuring the camera is protected from direct sunlight or strong light sources to maintain image quality.

Wiring

The system uses a 2-wire connection. Do not use coaxial cable or two separate wires. If replacing an existing doorbell, ensure the old transformer is removed. For extended distances up to 300m, the MYW-BA adaptor is required. Always terminate extra pairs in the cable at both the door station and the monitor ends to prevent image interference.

Mounting

Semi-flush mounting: Unlock the front cover using the tool provided. Attach the mounting bracket to a 3-gang box. Secure the unit to the bracket with two screws and replace the front cover.

Surface-mounting (MY-DC/A only): Mount the MYW-R box to the wall or a single-gang box. Attach the door station to the box using two screws.

Operations

The red LED indicates the call button location. Pressing the button activates the chime and video on the indoor monitor. The system supports hands-free communication. In low-light conditions (down to 1 Lux), the infrared illumination allows for visibility within 50cm of the camera.

Technical Precautions

The units are weather-resistant but should be protected from direct rain or overhead cover is recommended. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 60°C. If condensation occurs inside the lens due to temperature changes, it will evaporate naturally. Clean the unit only with a soft cloth and neutral household cleanser; avoid abrasive materials.

Common problems

Blurred image due to temperature changes

This is caused by condensation; it will clear naturally as the unit warms up and ventilation occurs.

Silhouetted or poor quality images

Ensure the camera is not facing strong light sources like direct sunlight or street lights. Use the monitor's backlight button to compensate.

Image interference

Ensure all extra wire pairs in the cable are terminated at both the door station and monitor ends.

Before use

  • Verify the use of 2-conductor parallel cable (do not use coaxial).
  • Remove any existing doorbell transformers if replacing an old system.
  • Ensure a 120 ohm resistor is installed if using extra wires.
  • Check that the mounting location is protected from direct rain.
  • Confirm the monitor unit is compatible with the MY Series.

Specs in practice

Scanning lines
525 lines, determining the resolution of the video feed.
Minimum illumination
1 Lux at 50cm, indicating the camera's ability to see in near-darkness.
Operating temperature
-10°C to 60°C, the range in which the device is guaranteed to function.

Images and diagrams

  • The wiring diagram shows the non-polarized A1/A2 terminals for connecting the door station to the monitor.
  • The viewing area diagram illustrates the camera's field of view when panned and tilted, covering 66cm horizontally and 49cm vertically at a 50cm distance.

Model compatibility

  • Compatible with MY Series Video Entry Security systems.
  • MY-DC/A supports both semi-flush and surface mounting.
  • MY-DG/A is designed for semi-flush mounting only.
