This document provides essential instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the AirExchange Elements 12-R monoblock air conditioner. The system uses R290 refrigerant and must be installed on an exterior wall. Ensure at least 20cm of clearance above the unit for proper airflow. The system is a closed unit and does not provide fresh outdoor air ventilation.
Device description
The unit features a touch-control panel, a carbon filter with a PTC heating element, and an internal heat pump. It includes a remote control and wall mounting accessories.
Installation
Installation must be performed on a solid vertical wall. Steps:
- Determine the position and mark the wall using the provided template.
- Drill ventilation holes (2x) and the water outlet hole (1x) with a 2-3 degree downward angle.
- Install the mounting bracket using the provided plugs and screws.
- Fold the plastic sheets to a round shape and insert them into the ventilation holes.
- Mount the unit onto the bracket and guide the water drainage pipe through the 25mm hole.
- Secure the bottom bracket and ensure the unit is firmly pressed against the wall using the provided sealing strip.
Operation and settings
The unit offers cooling, heating, recirculation, and dehumidification modes. The display shows the current temperature, Wi-Fi status, and active modes. The 1000W heating booster is available when the room temperature is below 18°C and the set temperature is at least 5°C higher.
Wi-Fi connectivity
To connect to Wi-Fi, download the Smart Life app. Press the wind speed button on the display for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi icon flashes, then follow the app instructions to add the device.
Maintenance
Replace the filter set at least once a year. When cleaning, use a dry, anti-static microfiber cloth. Do not use paper towels or old clothes to avoid scratching the surface. Wear protective gear (mask, gloves, goggles) when replacing the filter.
Troubleshooting
If the system does not turn on, check the power supply and ensure air inlets are not blocked. If the unit leaks water, verify the drainage pipe is correctly installed and not clogged. For abnormal noises, check if the unit is level and firmly mounted.
