This document provides essential installation requirements for the Airthereal 18KW tankless water heater. Installation must be performed by a qualified professional in accordance with all national, state, provincial, and local electrical and plumbing codes.

Safety and electrical requirements

Warning: Under no circumstances should you attempt to clean, install, inspect, repair, or disassemble this water heater without first shutting off all power to the unit directly at the circuit breaker box. Failure to follow this can result in serious bodily injury or death.

• The unit requires a 240V power supply (not 120V).
• Ensure your breaker panel meets the required specifications: 2x 40A Double Pole Circuit Breakers.
• Use 2x 8AWG/2 wires for the connection.
• If you do not have the correct infrastructure, you must have a professional install a new outlet, breaker, and wiring.

Installation and wiring

To install the electrical connections, follow these steps:

1. Turn off the power at the main breaker panel.
2. Connect each wire pair to one breaker. Ensure each breaker is connected with one black wire (L1) and one red wire (L2).
3. Use a suitable wire gauge that meets all applicable electrical codes for the size of the breakers used to run the wires from the main breaker panel to the tankless water heater.
4. A separate ground conductor is required.
5. Double-check all electrical connections to ensure they are correct and that all wire connections are tight and secure.
