Product Overview

The AL-KO 175F(D)S series are high-performance, 4-stroke, OHV gasoline engines designed for reliable service. This manual covers the 175F(D)S, 180F(D)S, 185F(D)S, and 190F(D)S models. The 'D' type models are equipped with both electric and manual starting systems.

Safety Information

Warning: Gasoline is extremely flammable and explosive. Always refuel outdoors in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped. Never smoke near fuel. Exhaust gas contains toxic carbon monoxide; never operate the engine in a closed garage or confined space. Keep the engine at least 1 meter away from building walls and flammable objects during operation to prevent fire hazards.

Operation

Before starting, ensure the engine is level and perform a pre-operation inspection. To start a cold engine, move the fuel valve to ON, set the choke lever to CLOSE, and pull the starter grip or use the electric starter. Once the engine warms up, gradually move the choke lever to OPEN. To stop the engine, move the throttle lever to the SLOW position, pull out the engine switch, and turn the fuel valve to the OFF position.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for safe and efficient operation. Key tasks include:

• Engine Oil: Check level before each use. Change oil after the first month or 20 hours, and subsequently every 6 months or 100 hours.
• Spark Plug: Check and clean every 6 months or 100 hours; replace annually or every 150 hours.
• Air Filter: Keep clean to ensure proper airflow.
• Fuel System: Drain the fuel tank and carburetor if the engine will be stored for more than one month to prevent deterioration.

Troubleshooting

If the engine fails to start, check the fuel level, ensure the engine switch is in the ON position, and verify the choke setting. If the engine lacks power, check for a clogged fuel filter or contaminated fuel. For persistent issues, consult an authorized service dealer.

Technical Specifications

The engines feature a displacement ranging from 265cc to 420cc depending on the model. They utilize a splash lubrication system and transistorized magneto ignition. Net power output ranges from 5.3 kW to 9 kW at 3600 rpm.
