This manual covers the installation and operation of the AMD Direct 15" and 24" Outdoor Rated Refrigerators. Before using the appliance, ensure it has been standing upright for 24 hours to allow the cooling system to stabilize. The unit is designed for both built-in and freestanding applications. Ensure the front grille is never obstructed to maintain proper ventilation.
Safety Requirements
- Electrical: The unit requires a dedicated 115V AC, 60Hz grounded 3-prong outlet. Do not use extension cords or 2-prong adapters.
- Environment: Install in a well-ventilated area with ambient temperatures between 50°F (10°C) and 109.4°F (43°C).
- Handling: Use two or more people to move the unit to avoid injury.
- Maintenance: Unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing. Never use flammable fluids for cleaning.
Installation
Site Preparation: Place the unit on a flat, level surface capable of supporting its full weight. Ensure the area is not near heat sources like ovens or grills.

Leveling: The unit features four adjustable leveling legs. Turn them clockwise to raise the unit and counterclockwise to lower it.
Handle Installation: Remove the right-side gasket, insert screws from the inside, align the handle, and tighten until flush. Do not overtighten.
Operation
Control Panel: Use the control panel to manage power and temperature settings.
- Power: Press and hold the power key for 5 seconds to turn the unit ON or OFF.
- Temperature Control: The range is 32°F to 50°F. Use the UP and DOWN keys to adjust the temperature.
- °F/°C Selector: Press the power and set keys simultaneously, then hold for 6 seconds to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Stainless Steel Care: Do not use chlorine, bleach, or abrasive pads (like Scotch-Brite) on stainless steel. Clean with a high-quality stainless steel cleaner/polish monthly. If rust appears, use Bon-Ami or Barkeepers Friend with a non-abrasive cloth, cleaning in the direction of the grain.
Defrosting: The unit defrosts automatically. If frost accumulates due to high humidity or frequent door openings, press and hold the UP key for 6 seconds to initiate manual defrosting.
Troubleshooting
If the unit is not cold enough, check if the door is closed properly, the condenser is dirty, or the ventilation is blocked. If the alarm sounds, ensure the door has not been open for more than 60 seconds and that the unit is not overloaded with warm items.
