Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for setting up and managing your Annke Network Video Recorder (NVR). Key steps include installing a hard drive (if not pre-installed), connecting cameras and peripherals, activating the device with a strong password, and configuring network settings for remote access via the ANNKE Vision app.
Device Introduction
The front panel features status indicators for Power, HDD activity, and Network (Tx/Rx), along with a USB port and control buttons. The rear panel includes PoE interfaces for cameras, HDMI/VGA ports for monitors, audio I/O, a LAN port, and a power switch.
Hard Disk Installation
- Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected.
- Remove the cover by unscrewing the back and side screws.
- Connect the provided power and data cables to the motherboard and the hard drive.
- Secure the hard drive to the bottom of the device using screws.
- Re-install the cover and fasten the screws.
System Setup
Upon first boot, you must activate the device by creating a strong admin password. The Setup Wizard will then guide you through time zone settings, network configuration (DHCP is default), hard disk formatting, and IP camera channel setup. Ensure your monitor supports 1080P or higher resolution for optimal display.
Remote Access
To access the system remotely, enable the ANNKE Vision platform in the network settings. Download the ANNKE Vision app, register an account, and scan the QR code found in the NVR's network menu to bind the device. Ensure the connection status shows as Online.
Alarm Settings
Motion detection can be configured under Menu > Configuration > Event. You can draw detection areas, adjust sensitivity, and set linkage actions such as email notifications or alarm triggers on the ANNKE Vision app.
Troubleshooting
If the device is offline, check your network cable, IP/DNS settings, and router configuration. If camera channels show no picture, verify the camera's username/password and ensure the network connection is stable. For password recovery, use the ANNKE Vision app, email, or security questions configured during setup.
