Product Overview
The Blackstar Debut Bass amplifiers are compact, high-performance bass amplifiers designed to provide excellent tone for players of all levels. They feature two distinct channels—Clean and Overdrive—along with a versatile 3-band EQ to help you shape your sound.
Getting Started
To begin using your amplifier, follow these steps:
- Connect the mains lead to the amplifier's Mains Input.
- Plug your bass guitar lead into the Input socket.
- Switch the amplifier on using the Power Switch.
Setting Up and Controls
The amplifier features intuitive controls to help you dial in your perfect sound:

- Volume: Controls the overall output level of the amplifier.
- Overdrive (OD) Switch: Press this switch to engage the Overdrive channel. When the switch is in the 'out' position, the amplifier operates in Clean mode.
- EQ Controls (Low, Mid, High): These controls allow you to adjust specific frequency ranges. Turning them clockwise increases the frequency, while counter-clockwise decreases it.
Connectivity
The Debut Bass is designed for versatile practice and performance:
- Audio Line In: Connect your phone, tablet, or laptop using a stereo aux cable to play along with your favorite tracks.
- EM. Out & Phones: Use this jack to connect headphones for silent practice or to output audio to external systems.
Safety and Maintenance
To ensure safe operation and longevity of your amplifier, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Keep the amplifier away from rain, liquids, and moisture.
- Do not block ventilation slots or place the unit in confined spaces.
- Use only in non-tropical climate regions at an altitude not exceeding 2000m.
- Operate the unit at a maximum ambient temperature of 35°C.
- Avoid listening at high volume levels for extended periods to prevent permanent hearing damage.
- Clean the exterior only with a dry cloth.
