User Manual for Bomann GS 7343 Household Freezer

Important Information

Before using your Bomann GS 7343 freezer, please note the following critical requirements:

• Wait time: After transport, the appliance must stand upright for at least 4 hours before connecting to the power supply to prevent cooling system malfunction.
• Ventilation: Ensure a gap of 50-70 mm at the back and at least 100 mm at the sides and top for proper heat dissipation.
• Safety: Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting. The coolant circuit contains flammable Isobutane (R600a).
• Usage: This appliance is for private household use only, not for commercial purposes or as a built-in unit.

Appliance Overview

The freezer features a control panel for temperature settings, open sliding trays, freezing drawers, and adjustable feet for leveling.

Installation

Place the appliance on a stable, level surface. Use the adjustable front feet to compensate for floor unevenness. Ensure the location is not near heat sources (heaters, stoves) or in high-humidity areas. The appliance must be connected to a properly installed and earthed wall outlet.

Reversing the Door Opening

The door hinge can be moved from the right to the left side if required. This procedure requires a screw wrench and screwdrivers. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before starting. Follow the steps to disassemble the upper and lower hinges, transfer the door stopper, and reassemble on the opposite side.

Operation

Connect the appliance to the power supply. Use the SET button on the control panel to adjust the interior temperature between -14°C and -22°C. The LEDs indicate the selected temperature. Settings are saved approximately 5 seconds after the last button press.

Quick Freeze Function

Hold the SET button for approximately 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the quick freeze function. This operates the freezer at maximum power to speed up the freezing process and switches off automatically after about 50 hours.

Alarm Function

The appliance includes a warning system. If the door remains open for longer than 90 seconds, a signal tone sounds. If the internal temperature rises above -6°C, an alarm sounds and the LEDs flash.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The appliance features a fully automatic NoFrost system, so manual defrosting is not required. Regularly clean the interior and exterior with lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent. Ensure the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before cleaning. Check the door seal regularly for dirt or damage; it should be airtight.

Troubleshooting

If the appliance is not working properly, check the power supply, temperature settings, and ambient temperature. Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked. If the freezer is too warm, check if a large quantity of warm food was recently added or if the door is not closing properly. If the appliance is loud, verify that it is level.
