This document provides instructions for fitting the Danfoss VHS cover (013R9301) onto sensors and guidelines for electrostatic powder lacquering. Ensure you identify your sensor type before installation to use the correct mounting method.
Installation
Snap-lock sensors
For Danfoss sensors equipped with snap-lock functionality, simply push the cover onto the sensor until it clicks into place.

Other sensors
For all other sensor types, use the provided spring to secure the cover. Position the spring as shown in the diagrams to ensure the cover remains firmly attached.
Electrostatic powder lacquering guidelines
If you are applying a powder coating to the cover, follow these specifications to ensure proper finish and durability:
- Material: Black Noryl GTX 974.
- Pre-treatment: None required (material contains conductive components).
- Temperature: Maximum 180°C for 10 minutes.
- Lacquer: Infralit PE/EP 8140 or similar.
- Suspension: Fasten to the inside of the cover.
- Layer thickness: Approximately 100 µ (similar to a radiator).
Troubleshooting
If you encounter an "orange peel" effect on the finish, check the following factors:
- Inadequate drying.
- Drying time is too short.
- Temperature is too low.
