The Doro 8050 features a 5.45-inch touch display, front and rear cameras, and a dedicated assistance button. Getting started
Before using the phone, ensure you have a Nano SIM card (4FF). To install the SIM or memory card:
- Use your fingernail or a similar object to pull out the SIM/memory card tray.
- Place the SIM card into the tray with contacts facing downwards and the cut-off corner aligned as shown.
- Optionally, place a MicroSD card into the tray with contacts facing downwards.
- Carefully slide the tray back into its slot.
Charging
Charge the phone fully before first use. Connect the small end of the included USB cable to the phone's charging port and the other end to a wall charger plugged into a wall socket. Only use approved batteries and chargers to avoid damage or safety risks.
Startup and configuration
Press and hold the power button to turn on the device. Upon first startup, a guide will launch to help personalize the phone. You will be asked if you are a beginner; selecting 'Yes' provides navigation instructions, while 'No' proceeds directly to settings. You will need to sign in to or set up a Google account.
Hardware reboot
If the device becomes frozen or unresponsive, you can force a hardware reboot. Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Down key simultaneously for more than 8 seconds. The device will restart automatically.
Safety and maintenance
Keep the device away from moisture, dust, and extreme temperatures. Do not attempt to remove the internal battery yourself; contact an authorized service center for replacements. The device contains magnets that may affect credit cards or other magnetic media.
