Safety Information

Warning: Always read the manual before use. Never exceed the safe working load capacity (750 lbs for the 48" model, 1000 lbs for the 54" model). This bed is not intended for patient transport; use an approved transport device instead. Ensure all casters are locked when the bed is stationary. Assembly and Setup

The bed requires assembly of the head and foot frames. Align the flanges, slide the sections together, and secure them using the provided cotter pins and clasps. Connect the motor wires to the color-coded outlets on the control box. Install the head and foot boards by aligning the mounting hooks over the pins and engaging the slide locks.

Operation

The bed is operated via a 4-function hand pendant. Buttons control the head section, foot section, simultaneous head and foot movement, and bed height. A battery backup system is available for emergency use during power failures. Always allow a slight pause between button presses to prevent thermal protection activation.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Perform regular inspections of all electrical components, cables, and welds. Clean the bed using a mild detergent and warm water; do not submerge electrical parts or use steam cleaners. Lubricate caster bearings with light machine oil. If the bed is stored outside the recommended temperature range (41°F to 104°F), allow it to adjust for 30 minutes before use.

Troubleshooting

If the bed fails to move, check the power connection, ensure the battery backup is functional, and inspect for obstructions. If the bed does not raise or lower, verify that the drive shaft is correctly installed and that the head and foot ends are properly identified and set up as a pair.
