EG4 Electronics 18KPV Hybrid Inverter Jumper Wire Installation Guide
Quick guide for the EG4 Electronics 18KPV hybrid inverter regarding the pre-installed RSD jumper wire, including when to keep it and when to remove it for external Rapid Shutdown Device installation.
Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions regarding the pre-installed red jumper wire located on the RSD (Rapid Shutdown Device) terminals of the EG4 Electronics 18KPV hybrid inverter. Proper handling of this jumper is critical for the correct operation of the inverter's safety shutdown features.
RSD Jumper Wire Handling
Upon receiving your 18KPV unit, you must inspect the RSD terminals to verify the presence of the small red jumper wire. The following rules apply:

- If you are NOT installing an external RSD: You must leave the pre-installed red jumper wire in place. The inverter requires this connection to function correctly without an external shutdown device.
- If you ARE installing an external RSD: You should remove the pre-installed red jumper wire only during the installation process of your external Rapid Shutdown Device.
