The Energizer 15-Minute AA/AAA Battery Charger is designed specifically for charging Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries. The unit features four independent channels, allowing you to charge between one and four AA or AAA batteries simultaneously.

• Charge only rechargeable NiMH batteries. Attempting to charge other battery types may cause them to leak, rupture, or explode.

Operating Instructions

Follow these steps to charge your batteries:

• Connect the AC adapter to the DC input jack on the charger, then plug it into a standard AC outlet.
• Insert 1-4 batteries into the compartments, ensuring the polarity (+ and -) matches the markings inside each bay.
• The indicator light will turn red to signal that charging is in progress.
• Once the LED indicator turns green, the batteries are ready for use. For maximum performance, you may leave the batteries in the charger for an additional 10 minutes after the light turns off.
• Unplug the adapter from the outlet once charging is complete.

Troubleshooting

If the indicator light flashes red, perform the following checks:

• Verify that the battery polarity is correctly aligned with the charger contacts.
• Ensure the batteries are properly seated in the bay so that the contacts are touching.

For optimal battery performance, charge in an environment with a temperature between 59 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Charging in temperatures that are too high may result in incomplete charges, while temperatures that are too low can permanently damage the battery's ability to hold a charge. It is normal for batteries to become warm during the charging process.
