Product Overview

The Halcyon DRDDACC 16-25W is a high-performance DALI-2 certified LED driver designed for professional lighting applications. It features an independent compact design and provides flicker-free dimming across a 1-100% range. The device is equipped with comprehensive protection features, including open circuit, short circuit, and overload protection, making it suitable for use in emergency lighting systems.

Technical Specifications

The driver operates on a 220-240VAC input at 50/60Hz. It offers a configurable constant current output via dip-switches, allowing for precise current selection between 260mA and 700mA, with corresponding output voltages ranging from 20V to 60V depending on the selected current. The maximum output power is 25W. The unit is designed to operate in ambient temperatures between -20 and +50 degrees Celsius, with a maximum case temperature (tc point) of 80 degrees Celsius.

Installation and Wiring

The device supports two primary control methods: DALI and Switch-Control. Wiring must be performed according to the provided diagrams, ensuring correct connections for the DALI bus or the switch-dim input. The output current is set using the integrated dip-switches. Ensure the dip-switch configuration matches the requirements of the connected LED modules before powering on the system.

Operation

The driver supports two distinct operating modes:

• DALI Mode: The light level is controlled directly via the DALI address.
• Switch-Control Mode: This mode allows for manual control using a standard push-button switch. A short press (less than 1 second) toggles the light ON and OFF. A long press initiates dimming; releasing and pressing again reverses the dimming direction. The dimming level is automatically saved when power is turned off and restored upon power-up.

For installations involving multiple drivers, if dimming levels or directions become desynchronized, they can be reset to a 50% level by performing a 15-second long press, followed by a short press to turn the lights off.

Safety and Maintenance

The device is classified as Protection Class II. Before installation, verify the compatibility of the driver with other system components. Do not attempt to use DALI and Switch-Control applications simultaneously on the same system. The unit is maintenance-free, but ensure that the installation environment remains within the specified temperature limits to prevent overheating and ensure long-term reliability.
