Quick guide from the manual
The IKEA LONSAS is a self-adhesive mirror designed for flat surfaces. Because the adhesive tape is not reusable, it is critical to position the mirror correctly on the first attempt. Please note that removing the mirror from the wall may cause damage to the wall surface or the mirror itself.
Surface preparation and installation
- Ensure the wall surface is flat, clean, and completely dry before installation.
- Clean the back of the mirror to remove any dust or residue before applying the adhesive tape.
- Position and fix the tape according to the assembly illustration provided in the product packaging.
- For porous surfaces such as plywood or fibreboard, apply a layer of high-gloss lacquer first to improve adhesion.
Usage limitations and safety
- Do not install the mirror on ceilings or sloping ceilings.
- While suitable for bathrooms, avoid areas where the mirror will come into direct contact with water, as moisture can damage the adhesive.
- Be extremely careful when removing the mirror from the wall, as it may break during the process.

Practical help
Common problems
Ensure the surface is clean and dry. For porous surfaces like plywood, use a high-gloss lacquer base to improve adhesion.
Avoid areas with direct water contact (e.g., inside a shower) as moisture degrades the adhesive.
Be aware that the adhesive is strong; removing the mirror may peel paint or damage the wall surface.
Before use
- Verify the wall surface is flat and even.
- Clean the wall area to remove all dust and moisture.
- Clean the back of the mirror thoroughly.
- Ensure you have the correct placement before sticking, as the tape cannot be reused.
