Product Overview
The i-tec USB-C Intelligent 2 Display Docking Station is a versatile solution designed to expand the connectivity of your laptop or tablet. It supports up to 100W Power Delivery, allowing you to charge your host device while simultaneously connecting multiple peripherals and displays. The dock features a robust selection of ports, including USB-A and USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports for high-speed data transfer, dual HDMI and DisplayPort outputs for multi-monitor setups, and a Gigabit Ethernet port for reliable network connectivity.
Hardware Installation
To set up the docking station, first ensure your laptop is powered on. Connect the provided power adapter to the docking station and plug it into a standard AC wall outlet. Press the ON button on the side of the dock. Connect the USB-C cable to the port marked with the laptop logo on the rear panel of the dock, and plug the other end into an available USB-C, Thunderbolt 3/4, or USB4 port on your computer. If your device only has a USB-A port, use the included USB-C to USB-A adapter, though please note that Power Delivery (charging) is not supported when connected via USB-A.
Driver Installation
For optimal performance, especially on Windows and macOS, it is recommended to install the latest DisplayLink drivers. For Windows, download and run the DisplayLink Cleaner tool, restart your computer, then download and install the latest DisplayLink driver. For macOS, download and install the DisplayLink Manager application. During installation on macOS, you will need to grant permission for Screen Recording in your System Preferences under Security & Privacy to ensure proper display functionality.
Safety and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your device, avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or high humidity. Always place the docking station on a flat, stable surface to prevent accidental falls. Avoid putting excessive strain on the USB-C port or cable. It is recommended to turn off the docking station at the end of the workday. If the device is dropped in water, sustains a cracked casing, or fails to function as described, please contact technical support for assistance.
