This document provides essential instructions for the Kangaroo 18K1 water kettle. Key operations include filling the kettle between 0.5L and 1.5L, ensuring the base is on a flat surface, and using the handle switch to start boiling. The device features an automatic shut-off function once water boils. Always ensure the kettle is switched off before removing it from the base.

Safety precautions

• Ensure the power supply matches the specified voltage (220V AC).
• Do not operate the kettle without water; the automatic protection will trigger, requiring a 15-minute cooling period before reuse.
• Keep the kettle away from children and individuals who cannot manage their actions.
• Do not immerse the kettle body, base, or power cord in water or any liquid.
• Ensure the power cord is not twisted or draped over the lid during use.
• The exterior surface may become hot during operation.
• Do not exceed the maximum water level to prevent boiling over.

First-time use

Before using the kettle for the first time, perform the following steps 2 to 3 times to remove any manufacturing residues:

1. Remove the kettle from the base.
2. Fill with 0.5L to 1.5L of water.
3. Place on the base, plug in, and turn on the switch (indicator light will turn on).
4. Wait for the water to boil; the kettle will shut off automatically.
5. Discard the water and repeat the process.

Cleaning and maintenance

Cleaning: Avoid abrasive cleaners. Empty the kettle, open the lid, and wipe the interior with a soft cloth. Ensure it is dry before use.

Maintenance (Descaling): Fill the kettle halfway with water and add one small teaspoon of lemon juice. Boil the mixture and let it sit for 15 minutes. Repeat this cycle 3 times, then rinse and dry the kettle thoroughly.
