Product Overview

The Kichler 16261CBR27 is a high-quality LED path light designed for outdoor landscape lighting systems. This fixture is intended for use with a low-voltage power unit (transformer) rated for a maximum of 300W (25 Amps) at 15 volts.

Safety Instructions

Warning: Risk of electric shock. Disconnect power at the main circuit breaker or fuse box before starting installation. This fixture must not be installed within 10 feet (3 meters) of a pool, spa, or fountain. Ensure all wiring complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes. If you are unfamiliar with these requirements, consult a certified electrician.

Installation

Follow these steps to install your fixture:

• Turn off the main power supply.
• Determine the desired location and drive the stake (A) into the ground. Use a board on top of the stake when hammering to prevent damage.
• Clear the area around the stake opening (B).
• Route the fixture cable (C) through the wiring opening and screw the stem (D) into the stake. Ensure the cable is not twisted.
• Connect the fixture wires to the low-voltage supply using approved, gel-filled wire nuts.

Adjusting the Light

For model 16261 (and 16263), the light direction can be adjusted. Locate the set screw on the top of the fixture. Use a hex key to loosen the screw (half-turn counterclockwise), adjust the light to the desired angle (up to 45 degrees from the factory setting), and retighten the screw.

Maintenance and Care

To maintain the fixture's performance and appearance, keep the area around the light clear of combustible materials such as leaves, pine needles, and grass clippings. Regularly remove any debris that accumulates on the light bulb, lens, or body of the fixture. Always ensure the power is off before cleaning, and use only a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents that may damage the finish.
