Product Overview

The Philips LEDtube 1500mm UO is an energy-efficient LED-based alternative to traditional fluorescent tubes. Designed for general lighting applications, this product is compatible with conventional electromagnetic ballasts (EMG). It is engineered to provide reliable performance while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Safety Information

Before beginning installation, ensure the power supply is disconnected. Please note the following safety requirements:

• The LEDtube is not dimmable.
• Designed for use in dry conditions or in luminaires that provide protection.
• Not suitable for use in emergency lighting systems.
• Do not use in explosive atmospheres.
• Installation must be performed by qualified professionals in accordance with relevant electrical codes.
• No modifications to the luminaire are permitted, other than the specified starter replacement.

Installation Instructions

The LEDtube is designed for use with conventional electromagnetic ballasts. Follow these steps for a successful installation:

• Switch off the power supply to the luminaire.
• Remove the existing fluorescent lamp.
• Remove the existing starter from the luminaire.
• Insert the provided LED replacement starter (EMP) into the starter socket.
• Install the Philips LEDtube into the luminaire.
• Switch the power supply back on.

If the luminaire contains a capacitor, it should be removed or bypassed to ensure proper operation. Always apply the provided warning sticker to the luminaire after modifications have been completed to indicate that an LED lamp is now in use.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

The LEDtube requires minimal maintenance. Ensure that the luminaire remains clean and that the environment stays within the specified temperature range. If the lamp fails to light, verify that the power is on, the LED starter is correctly seated, and that the luminaire is compatible with the electromagnetic ballast system. If issues persist, consult a qualified electrician.

Disposal

Dispose of the product in accordance with local environmental regulations for electronic waste. Do not discard with regular household waste.
