Safety Precautions
- Always read all instructions before use.
- Do not touch hot surfaces; use handles or knobs.
- Never immerse the heat control, cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
- Keep the appliance away from children and do not let cords hang over edges.
- Do not use the skillet for deep frying or outdoors.
- Always attach the heat control to the appliance before plugging it into a wall outlet.
Assembly
The skillet requires simple assembly of the handles on the body and the handle on the glass cover. Ensure all screws are tightened securely, but avoid over-tightening to prevent damage to the handles or the cover.
Operation
Place the skillet on a dry, level, heat-resistant surface. Insert the Control Master heat control probe into the skillet, ensuring the pins are fully seated. Preheat the skillet to the desired temperature; the indicator light will turn off once the target temperature is reached. Use heat-resistant nylon, plastic, wooden, or rubber utensils to protect the nonstick coating. Avoid using metal utensils or no-stick cooking sprays.
Care and Maintenance
Remove the heat control before cleaning. Wash the skillet in warm, soapy water. Do not wash the skillet in a dishwasher, as this may damage the nonstick coating and cause discoloration. Clean the surface with a nylon mesh scouring pad; avoid steel wool or abrasive cleaners. Periodically check and tighten handle screws if necessary.
Glass Cover Safety
Handle the glass cover with care. Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as placing a hot cover on a cold or wet surface, to prevent breakage. Do not use the cover if it is chipped or cracked.
Troubleshooting and Support
If the appliance malfunctions, do not attempt repairs. Contact the Presto Service Department for assistance. Ensure you have your model and series numbers, found on the bottom of the plug guard, when seeking support.
