Safety and Hazardous Area Use

Installation and Operation

When assembling, ensure the cable gland is tightened correctly to maintain the IP66/IP64 protection rating. The bayonet ring must be fully tightened to the stop when connected to a socket to ensure ingress protection. Always disconnect power before performing any assembly, disassembly, or maintenance tasks.

Maintenance and Care

Regular maintenance is required to ensure long-term safety. This includes checking for secure cable connections, inspecting seals for damage, and ensuring the plug pins are clean. After 1,000 mating cycles, it is recommended to clean the pins and apply a non-mineral oil-based lubricant, such as Klübersynth PTB 2-24.
