Quick guide from the manual

The SkyRC PC1500 is a dual-channel intelligent charger designed for 12S/14S LiPo and 12S LiHV batteries. It supports Fast Charge, Charge, and Storage modes with a maximum output of 1500W. Always ensure the charger is placed on a heat-resistant, non-conductive surface and never leave it unattended during operation.

Operation Procedure

  1. Power On: Connect to AC power (100-240V). The charger will beep and perform a self-check.
  2. Language Selection: On initial use, press the MODE button to select the language, then press START to confirm. For routine use, long-press the MODE button for 10 seconds.
  3. Battery Type Selection: Long-press both MODE and START buttons simultaneously for three seconds to toggle between LiPo and LiHV.
  4. Connection: Connect the battery to the charging port. The charger automatically detects cell count.
  5. Start Charging: Select the desired mode (Fast Charge or Charge) and long-press the START button for three seconds.

Battery Maintenance

To extend battery life, use the STORAGE mode if the battery will not be used for a long time. The charger will automatically charge or discharge the cells to 3.8V per cell. Select STORAGE mode and long-press the START button for three seconds to initiate.

Safety Precautions

  • Never charge non-rechargeable batteries or damaged battery packs.
  • Ensure the AC power source is well-grounded and stable.
  • Do not charge 12S and 14S batteries simultaneously on different channels; cell counts must match.
  • Keep the charger away from moisture, dust, heat, and flammable materials.
  • The device is not intended for use by children or individuals without proper supervision.

Troubleshooting

If a malfunction occurs, the LCD will display an error message. Common issues include:

  • MAIN PORT BROKEN: Check battery-to-charger connection.
  • CELL VOLT DIFF: Voltage difference between cells exceeds 300mV; reconnect or check battery health.
  • BAL PORT ERROR: Reconnect or replace the balance cable.
  • HI POWER TEMP: Charger is overloaded; wait for it to cool down.
  • REV POLARITY: Battery cable polarity is reversed.

Practical help

Common problems

CELL VOLT DIFF error

The voltage difference between the highest and lowest cell is >300mV. Reconnect the battery or check for faulty cells.

HI POWER TEMP error

The charger is overloaded. Stop operation and wait for the unit to cool down.

REV POLARITY error

The battery cable is connected with reversed polarity. Correct the connection.

BAL PORT ERROR

Connection issue at the balance port. Reconnect or replace the balance cable.

Before use

  • Ensure the AC power source is well-grounded.
  • Verify the battery type (LiPo or LiHV) matches the charger setting.
  • Check that all connections are firm and secure.
  • Ensure the charger is placed on a heat-resistant, non-conductive surface.
  • Confirm that 12S and 14S batteries are not being charged simultaneously.
