System Requirements
To ensure optimal performance, a computer with a USB4 port is recommended, though the dock is compatible with USB-C host ports. Please note that Multi-Stream Transport (MST) support is required on the host computer to drive multiple displays. Some operating systems, such as macOS or certain Linux distributions, may have limited MST support, which could restrict output to a single display.
Installation and Setup
- Connect the included power adapter to the DC 20V port on the dock and plug it into an AC outlet.
- Connect your USB-A and USB-C peripherals to the respective data and charging ports on the dock.
- For wired networking, connect a CAT 5e (or better) network cable to the 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port.
- Connect your displays to the designated Video 1, Video 2, or Video 3 ports. Note that only one display can be connected to each video output group.
- Use the provided USB4 host cable to connect the dock to a DP Alt Mode enabled USB4 port on your computer. The system will automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.
Maintenance and Optimization
For Windows users, while the default Realtek RTL8156x driver provides basic functionality, it is strongly recommended to manually download and install the latest driver from the official product support page to ensure maximum network performance and stability. The dock includes standard and nano lock slots to secure the device against theft in shared office environments.
