Product Description
The Steinbach Filter Pump SPS 175-1T is designed for private swimming pools to circulate water through a filtration system. It is self-priming and features an integrated prefilter to prevent coarse dirt particles from damaging the pump. The unit includes a built-in timer that allows for automatic daily operation for a set duration.
Safety Information
Warning: Improper electrical installation or excessive mains voltage can cause electric shock. The device must be connected to a grounded outlet protected by a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual current of no more than 30 mA. Never operate the water treatment system while people are in the pool. Ensure the device is placed on a stable, horizontal surface and is protected from severe weather.
Installation and Setup
- Location: Place the pump between the suction connection and the injection nozzle, below the water level, and within 3 meters of the pool.
- Assembly: Hand-tighten all screw connections; do not use tools to avoid damaging seals and plastic parts.
- Connection: Connect the suction line from the pool to the pump and the pressure line from the pump to the filter vessel.
- Bleeding: Before initial operation, ensure the pump is bled by opening the prefilter cover and allowing the prefilter to fill completely with water.
Operation
The integrated timer allows for automatic daily operation. Press the timer button to select the desired running time, then press the ON/OFF button to start the pump. The pump will run for the selected duration and repeat this cycle every 24 hours.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regularly clean the prefilter by closing the shut-off valves, removing the prefilter cover, and emptying the prefilter basket. Clean the pump housing with a damp, lint-free cloth. If the outside temperature drops below +5°C, the pump must be winterized by draining all water to prevent frost damage.
Troubleshooting
- Air bubbles or unusual noises: Check for leaks in hoses and seals, ensure the water level is sufficient, and clean the prefilter or suction line.
- Pump does not start: Check the power supply and ensure the timer is correctly set.
