The TC Electronic Polytune 3 Mini is a compact polyphonic tuner designed for pedalboards. Before using, ensure you have a 9V DC power supply capable of providing at least 100mA. Connect your instrument to the Input jack and your amplifier or next pedal to the Output jack.
Controls
- Display: Shows tuning information for single-string or polyphonic tuning.
- Output: Connect to your amplifier or next pedal.
- Footswitch: Turns the tuner on and off. Press and hold to toggle between standard and drop-D tuning.
- Tuning Mode: Select between standard E, drop-tuning, or capo modes. Press and hold to switch between chromatic and strobe modes.
- Power Input: Connect a 9V / >100mA power supply.
- Input: Connect your instrument here.
- True Bypass / Buffered Bypass: Internal switches to configure bypass behavior.
Bypass Settings
You can configure the bypass mode using the internal switches:
- True Bypass: Both switches set to OFF.
- Buffered Bypass: Switch 1 set to ON, Switch 2 set to OFF.
- Buffered Bypass, Display Always On: Both switches set to ON.

Common problems
Ensure the power supply is 9V DC and provides at least 100mA of current.
This is normal behavior in True Bypass mode. If you want the display to remain on, configure the internal switches to 'Buffered Bypass, Display Always On'.

- Connect guitar to Input.
- Connect amp to Output.
- Set internal switches for desired Bypass mode (True or Buffered).
