This document provides essential setup and operational information for the Polytune 3 Mini. It covers basic tuning functions, mode selection, and configuration of the bypass system.
Device Controls
- Display: Used for both single-string and polyphonic tuning.
- Output: Connects the tuner to your amplifier or next pedal.
- Footswitch: Turns the tuner on and off. Press and hold to toggle between standard and drop-D tuning.
- Tuning Mode: Selects between standard E, drop-tuning, or capo modes. Press and hold to switch between chromatic and strobe modes.
- Power Input: Requires a 9 V / >100 mA power supply (not included).
- Input: Connects your instrument to the tuner.
- True Bypass / Buffered Bypass: Allows you to choose between different signal path modes using internal switches.
Bypass Configuration
You can configure the bypass mode using the internal switches:
- True Bypass: Both switches set to OFF.
- Buffered Bypass: Switch 1 set to ON, Switch 2 set to OFF.
- Buffered Bypass, Display Always On: Both switches set to ON.

Tuner does not turn on
Ensure you are using a 9 V power supply with at least 100 mA current capacity.
Before use
- Ensure you have a 9 V / >100 mA power supply (not included).
- Connect your instrument to the Input jack.
- Connect the Output jack to your signal chain.
- Configure the internal bypass switches according to your preference.
