Table of contents
Product Description
The VEVOR oil-free vertical air compressor is designed for household and automotive tasks, providing power for tools like spray guns and impact wrenches. It operates without oil, ensuring clean air output. Note that compressed air contains moisture; for applications requiring dry air, an external water filter or air dryer is recommended.
Safety Information
DANGER: This compressor is not designed to supply breathing-quality air. For human consumption applications, specialized filtration and alarm equipment are required to meet Grade D standards.
- Always read the manual before use.
- Wear safety glasses and hearing protection during operation.
- Keep children and visitors away from the work area.
- Do not operate near flammable gases or vapors.
- Never adjust the safety valve.
- Drain the tank daily to prevent rust and corrosion.
Installation and Setup
Install the compressor in a clean, well-ventilated area with at least 18 inches (45 cm) of clearance from walls. Ensure the ambient temperature does not exceed 100°F (38°C). Electrical connections must be performed by a qualified electrician in compliance with local regulations. Do not use extension cords, as they can cause power loss and motor damage.
Operation
The pressure switch features an AUTO/OFF setting. In AUTO, the unit shuts off automatically when the maximum preset pressure is reached. The regulator knob controls the output air pressure. The safety valve automatically releases air if tank pressure exceeds the preset limit. Always keep the switch in the OFF position when connecting or disconnecting power or changing tools.
Maintenance
Before any maintenance, disconnect the power and release all system pressure. Regularly check for leaks, tighten fasteners, and clean dust from the motor and cooling fins. Drain moisture from the tank daily using the drain petcock located at the bottom.
Troubleshooting
If the compressor fails to run, check for power issues, blown fuses, or tripped circuit breakers. If the motor hums but does not start, check the check valve or voltage levels. Thermal overload protection may trigger due to low voltage, clogged filters, or poor ventilation; allow the motor to cool before restarting.
