Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the Viltrox AF 135mm f/1.8 LAB Z lens. It covers proper mounting, lens hood attachment, advanced focus features, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the lens.
Attaching and detaching the lens
To attach the lens, align the white index on the lens barrel with the white index on the camera mount. Insert the lens and rotate it counter-clockwise until it locks. To detach, hold the lens release button on the camera, rotate the lens clockwise until it stops, and remove it. Always place the rear of the lens upward when detached to prevent scratches.
Lens hood
The lens hood reduces flare and protects the front element. Align the attaching index on the hood with the index on the lens, insert it, and rotate clockwise until it clicks. To remove, rotate the hood counter-clockwise until the indices align.
Focus controls and AB preset
The lens features custom buttons for advanced control. The Fn1 button acts as a focus lock. The Fn2 button allows switching between preset object distances (Point A and Point B). To update a preset distance, adjust the focus to the desired position, then press and hold the Fn2 button until the icon turns green.
Safety and maintenance
Do not look at the sun through the lens. Keep the lens away from children and avoid storing it in humid areas to prevent mold. While dust and moisture-proof, the lens is not fully waterproof; avoid direct contact with water. If the lens contacts become dirty, blow off dust and wipe gently with a soft, clean cloth. Do not use organic solvents like gasoline or thinners.
