Quick guide from the manual
The White Rodgers Level-Temp control is designed to allow a low-voltage 2-wire thermostat to control line-voltage loads, such as baseboard heaters. It provides silent operation and narrow differential control. The unit features a conduit hub or screw mounting and is capable of controlling two separate loads in dual-level configurations.

Technical Specifications
- Switch Action: SPST Normally Open (Single or Dual)
- Average Time Delay: Approximately 45 seconds (approx. 30 seconds opening, 60 seconds closing)
- Dual Ambient Temperature Range: -20 to +120°F
- Mounting: Non-critical mounting angle with universal break-off mounting tabs
- Electrical Ratings: Varies by model (120V, 208V, 240V, 277V, 347V); resistive loads up to 25A/6000W
Wiring and Installation
The device is designed for easy installation using conduit hub or screw mounting. When wiring, ensure the input voltage and frequency match the specific model requirements. For dual-level applications (Model 24A06), the control manages two independent loads. Always refer to the wiring diagram provided on the device label or in the manual to ensure correct connection of the thermostat, transformer, and heating loads.
Practical help
Common problems
The unit has an inherent time delay of approximately 45 seconds (30s opening, 60s closing). This is normal operation.
Before use
- Verify the input voltage and frequency match your power supply.
- Ensure the thermostat is a low-voltage 2-wire type.
- Check that the resistive load does not exceed the model's rated capacity (e.g., 25A/6000W for 240V models).
- Confirm the mounting location allows for conduit hub or screw mounting.
