Product Overview

The ADJ Starburst is an intelligent DMX-controlled centerpiece featuring five 15W 6-in-1 HEX LEDs (RGBWYP). Designed for professional lighting applications, it offers versatile operation modes including Sound Active, Show Mode, and DMX control. The unit is equipped with an automatic voltage switch, allowing it to operate on power sources ranging from 100V to 240V.

Safety Precautions

To ensure safe operation and prevent electrical shock or fire, please adhere to the following guidelines:

• Use indoors only; exposure to rain or moisture voids the warranty.
• Ensure proper ventilation by maintaining at least 6 inches (15cm) of space between the unit and any wall.
• Do not remove the cover or attempt internal repairs, as there are no user-serviceable parts inside.
• Always disconnect from main power before making connections or performing maintenance.
• Ensure the unit is mounted in a safe and stable manner.

Setup and Operation

The Starburst supports DMX-512 protocol with 12 channels for precise control. Units can be linked in a Master/Slave configuration, allowing up to 16 fixtures to operate in sync without an external controller. For power management, the unit supports daisy-chaining up to 20 fixtures using IEC input and output sockets.

System Menu

The integrated menu allows for configuration of DMX addresses, Master/Slave modes, sound sensitivity (0-100), and display settings. To unlock the menu, press and hold the MENU button for 3 seconds. Use the ENTER button to confirm selections.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting

Regular cleaning is essential for optimal performance. Depending on the environment, clean the external optics every 20 days and internal optics every 30-60 days using glass cleaner and a soft cloth. If the unit fails to operate, check the fuse located next to the IEC input; replace only with an identical 2A fuse. For persistent issues, contact ADJ customer support for a Return Authorization (R.A.) number before seeking service.
