Device Description
The tool features a tool holder, locking sleeve, belt clip, and a user interface for speed and mode selection. It is designed for driving and loosening screws and nuts.
Assembly
Remove the battery before any work on the tool. To insert a tool, pull the locking sleeve forward, insert the tool into the holder, and release the sleeve. For GDX and GDS models, slide the tool onto the square drive of the tool holder.
Operation
The tool is driven by an electric motor via a gear and impact mechanism. The working procedure consists of two phases: screwing in and tightening. The impact mechanism activates when the screw connection tightens and the motor is under load.
Settings and Modes
The user interface allows for speed preselection (3 levels) and mode selection (A and B). These can also be managed via the Bosch Toolbox app using the Bluetooth Low Energy Module GCY 42.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regularly clean the air vents to prevent dust accumulation. Clean the tool holder and locking sleeve periodically. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshooting
If the status indicator shows yellow, the tool has reached a critical temperature or the battery is low; run the tool at no load to cool down or charge the battery. If it shows red, the tool is overheated or the battery is empty; allow it to cool or replace/charge the battery.
