The Bosch GWS 18V-180 PC Professional is a cordless angle grinder designed for cutting, brushing, and roughing metal, stone, plastic, and composite materials. It features Bluetooth connectivity for data transfer and settings management via the GCY 42 module.
Safety Information

Assembly
- Bluetooth Module: Insert the GCY 42 module into the designated slot if not already installed.
- Protective Guard: Place the guard (10) on the tool, press the unlocking lever (1), and rotate until it clicks into place.
- Auxiliary Handle: Screw the vibration-damping handle (7) onto the gear head.
- Abrasive Tools: Clean the grinding spindle (16) and all parts. Lock the spindle with the lock button (3) before clamping the disc with the mounting flange (12) and clamping nut (15).
Operation
- Switching On/Off: Push the unlocking lever (9) forward and then push the on/off switch (8) up. Release the switch to turn off.
- Rough Grinding: Use the protective guard (10). Maintain a 30° to 40° angle for best results.
- Cutting: Always use the protective guard (10) with the cutting cover (11) attached. Ensure sufficient dust extraction when cutting stone.
Maintenance and Cleaning
- Remove the battery before any maintenance or transport.
- Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation.
