Device Description

The GWS 18V-180 P is a cordless angle grinder designed for cutting, brushing, and roughing metal, stone, plastic, and composite materials. It features a vibration-damping auxiliary handle for improved ergonomics and safety.

Assembly

• Protective Guard: Align the coding cams of the guard (9) with the holder on the tool. Press and hold the unlocking lever (1) and rotate the guard until it clicks into place.
• Cutting Cover: For cutting, attach the cover (10) to the grinding guard (9).
• Auxiliary Handle: Always use the vibration-damping auxiliary handle (6) for safe operation.
• Abrasive Tools: Clean the grinding spindle (15) and all parts before mounting. Use the spindle lock button (3) to secure the spindle when tightening or loosening tools.

Operation

Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. Do not overload the tool to the point of stalling. If the tool is heavily loaded, run it at no-load for a few minutes to cool down the accessory. Always use the correct guard for the specific application (e.g., grinding vs. cutting).

Maintenance and Cleaning
