The Bosch GardenPump 18V-2000 is designed for pumping rainwater from a tank to irrigate gardens. This guide provides essential information for setup and operation. Always ensure the pump is fully submerged and the control unit is mounted in a shaded area to prevent thermal shutdown.
Assembly
1. Mount the wall or tank attachment in a shaded location. 2. Determine the required cable and hose lengths based on tank dimensions. 3. Wrap excess cable around the pump and secure it. 4. Cut the connecting hose to the required length and attach the anti-siphon connector. 5. Connect the cable and hose to the control unit. 6. Lower the pump into the tank and secure the hose guide.
Operation
To start, press the On/Off switch. The battery charge indicator will light up. You can use the timer function to set a run time of 5, 10, or 15 minutes. The pump features dry-run protection and will automatically shut off if no water is detected.
Maintenance
Regularly inspect and clean the filter at the bottom of the pump. If the anti-siphon connector becomes blocked, remove the cap and ball to clean them under running water. Before winter, remove the pump from the tank, drain all water, and store in a frost-free environment.
Troubleshooting
If the pump fails to start, ensure the control unit is fully closed and the battery is correctly inserted. If the pump runs with low pressure, check for a clogged filter or air in the hose. If the warning triangle flashes, refer to the manual's troubleshooting table for specific error codes.

Pump does not start
Ensure the battery control box cover is fully closed and the locking handle is in the bottom position. Check if the battery is charged and correctly inserted.
Low or pulsating pressure
Check if the water filter is clogged and clean it. Ensure the pump is fully submerged and there is no air trapped in the hose.
Water leaks from hose after pump use
Ensure the anti-siphon connector is fitted and positioned above the water level in the tank.
