Quick guide from the manual

The Bosch GEX 18V-125 is a cordless random orbit sander designed for dry sanding of wood, plastic, filler, and coated surfaces. Before using the tool, ensure the battery is fully charged. The tool features an orbital stroke rate preselection thumbwheel for adjusting performance based on the material and application.

Assembly

Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or changing accessories to prevent accidental startup. To attach a sanding sheet, clean the sanding pad with a brush, then press the sanding sheet firmly onto the pad, ensuring the holes align for optimal dust extraction. Use a Pad Saver (accessory) to extend the life of the sanding pad.

Operation

To switch on, press the on/off switch. To switch off, press it again. You can preselect the orbital stroke rate using the thumbwheel (1-6). For fatigue-free work, the tool can be held from above, the side, or the front. After working at a low stroke rate for an extended period, run the tool at maximum speed for 3 minutes without load to cool it down.

Dust Extraction

The tool supports self-generated dust extraction using the included dust bag or external extraction via a hose. For optimal performance, empty the dust bag regularly. When working on vertical surfaces, hold the tool so the dust bag or extraction hose faces downward.

Maintenance

Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation. For repairs or spare parts, contact an authorized Bosch service center and provide the 10-digit article number from the tool's nameplate.
