Quick guide from the manual

The Bosch GRW 18V-160 Professional is a cordless stirrer designed for mixing powdered construction materials like mortar, plaster, and adhesives, as well as non-solvent-based paints and varnishes. Key features include mechanical gear selection, soft start, speed preselection, constant electronic control, and KickBack Control for user safety.

Device Description

The stirrer features two handles for secure operation, a gear selector switch, a speed preselection thumbwheel, and a drive spindle for attaching the mixer paddle. It is powered by a Bosch 18V Li-ion battery.

Assembly

To increase working height, attach the 7 cm extension piece (10) to the drive spindle (9) and tighten with the provided open-ended spanner (11). Screw the mixer paddle (12) into the drive spindle (9) and tighten securely using two open-ended spanners (22 mm and 24 mm).

Operation

To start the tool, press the lock-off button (1), then press and hold the on/off switch (3). Release the switch to stop. Speed can be adjusted via the on/off switch pressure or the speed preselection thumbwheel (5). Use the gear selector (7) to choose between two speed ranges: Gear 1 for tough/solid materials and Gear 2 for light/liquid materials.

Safety and Maintenance

Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or changing tools. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean. If the KickBack Control LED (6) flashes red, the tool has detected a sudden rotation and shut down; release and press the switch again to restart. Do not mix food or explosive materials.
