Device Description
The GWS 18V-7 is a cordless angle grinder intended for cutting and brushing metal, stone, plastic, and composite materials, as well as roughing metal, plastic, and composite materials without the use of water. It can also be used for sanding with approved abrasive tools.
Assembly
Before performing any work on the tool (e.g., maintenance, tool change, transport, or storage), remove the battery. Protective Guard: Ensure the coding cams of the guard align with the holder on the tool. Press the unlocking lever and rotate the guard until it audibly clicks into place. Auxiliary Handle: Always use the tool with the auxiliary handle (standard or vibration-damping) attached to the right or left of the machine head.
Operation
Switching On/Off: Push the on/off switch forward to start. To lock, push the switch forward and down until it clicks. To switch off, release the switch or press the back part down if locked. Battery Management: Use only recommended chargers. The battery charge indicator shows the state of charge. Protect the battery from moisture, water, and heat.
Safety
Always wear personal protective equipment, including safety goggles. Do not use the tool for polishing. Ensure the protective guard is correctly positioned to protect the operator from sparks and debris. When cutting stone, ensure sufficient dust extraction and wear a dust mask.
Maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. If the tool or battery is damaged, contact an authorized service center. Do not attempt to repair damaged battery packs.

Tool runs at full speed immediately after switching on.
