The Bosch GWS 18V-8 Professional is a cordless angle grinder designed for cutting, brushing, and roughing metal, stone, plastic, and composite materials without the use of water. This manual provides essential safety, assembly, and operational guidelines.

Safety Information
- Always wear personal protective equipment, including safety goggles.
- Ensure the protective guard is correctly installed and adjusted for maximum safety.

- Always use the auxiliary handle (standard or vibration-dampening).
- Be aware of kickback risks when grinding or cutting.

Assembly
Protective Guard: Place the guard (11) on the tool holder, aligning the coding cams. Press and hold the unlocking lever (1) while pressing the guard onto the spindle collar until it clicks into place. Adjust the position as needed.
Auxiliary Handle: Screw the handle (8/9) into the gear head on the left or right side.
Abrasive Tools: Clean the grinding spindle (22) and all parts to be mounted. Use the spindle lock button (3) to lock the spindle before tightening or loosening the clamping nut (20) with the two-pin spanner.
Operation
Switching On/Off: Push the on/off switch (7) forward to start. To lock, press the front part of the switch down until it clicks. To switch off, release the switch or press the back part if locked.

Rough Grinding: Use a 30° to 40° angle for best results. Move the tool back and forth with moderate pressure.
Cutting: Always use the protective guard for cutting (12) or the grinding guard (11) with the cutting cover (13). Work with moderate feed suited to the material.
Maintenance
Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or tool changes. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation.
