This document provides essential operating instructions for the Bosch GST 18V-155 SC and 18V-155 BC cordless jigsaws. It covers setup, blade installation, dust extraction, and advanced features like Bluetooth connectivity and Adaptive Speed Control (ASC).
Blade installation and adjustment
Before performing any work on the tool, remove the battery. Always wear protective gloves when handling blades as they can become very hot during use.

- Ensure the blade shank is clean before insertion.
- Pull the SDS lever forward to the stop and hold it.
- Insert the blade into the blade holder until it stops, ensuring it sits between the guide jaws.
- Check that the blade is securely seated.
- To adjust the guide jaws to the blade thickness, use the hex key in the adjustment hole on the base plate.
Dust extraction
For effective dust extraction, mount the protective cover and connect a vacuum hose to the extraction nozzle.

- Insert the extraction nozzle into the base plate.
- Connect a suitable vacuum hose to the nozzle.
- If using dust extraction, turn off the air blower function.
Operating modes
The jigsaw features a four-stage orbital action, adjustable via the lever:
- Stage 0: Orbital action off (for precise, smooth cuts).
- Stage I: Low orbital action.
- Stage II: Medium orbital action.
- Stage III (MAX): High orbital action (for soft materials).
Connectivity and settings
The tool features Bluetooth Low Energy technology for communication with mobile devices via the Bosch Toolbox app. This allows for:
- Status monitoring and warning notifications.
- Programming speed ranges.
- Enabling/disabling the ASC (Adaptive Speed Control) function (on SC model).
Safety and maintenance
Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe operation. If the tool is dropped, the integrated impact shut-off will deactivate it; check the app for details. Always remove the battery before transport or storage.

Common problems
Check battery charge level, ensure the tool is not overheated, or check if the impact shut-off was triggered (indicated by flashing red status light).
Ensure the blade is correctly seated in the guide jaws and that the guide jaws are adjusted to the blade thickness.
Reduce distance between the tool and mobile device, or toggle Bluetooth off and on in the mobile device settings.
Before use
- Ensure the battery is fully charged.
- Select the correct blade type for the material.
- Check that the blade is securely locked in the SDS holder.
- Adjust the guide jaws if necessary.
- Ensure the base plate is securely attached.
- Verify the air blower setting matches the task (on for wood, off for metal/dust extraction).
Specs in practice

- The speed of the blade movement, adjustable from 800-3800 min-1 (SC) or 0-3800 min-1 (BC).
- Max cutting depth
- Maximum capacity: 155mm in wood, 20mm in aluminum, 10mm in steel.
- ASC (Adaptive Speed Control)
- Automatically reduces speed before blade contact and increases it upon contact for precise starting.
Images and diagrams
- SDS lever (19) is used for tool-free blade changes.
- Adjustment hole (24) is used with the hex key (26) to set guide jaw width.
- Air blower switch (23) toggles between clearing dust (I) and extraction mode (0).
