Quick guide from the manual

The Bosch Professional GEX 18V-125 is a cordless random orbit sander designed for dry sanding of wood, plastic, filler, and coated surfaces. Before starting, ensure the battery is fully charged and inserted until it clicks. Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance or changing accessories to prevent accidental startup.

Operation

To turn the tool on, press the On/Off switch (1). To turn it off, press the switch again. You can preselect the orbital stroke rate using the thumbwheel (7), with settings 1-2 for low, 3-4 for medium, and 5-6 for high speed. The tool features Constant Electronic to maintain a consistent speed under load.

Sanding Sheet Replacement

To remove the sanding sheet (10), lift it from the side and pull it off the sanding pad (8). Clean the pad of dust and dirt before attaching a new sheet. Ensure the holes in the sanding sheet align with the holes in the sanding pad for optimal dust extraction.

Dust Extraction

The tool supports both self-generated dust extraction using the included dust bag (2) and external extraction via a hose (16). For the dust bag, push it onto the extraction outlet (13) until it is flush. Empty the bag regularly to maintain suction performance. For external extraction, connect a suitable vacuum cleaner hose to the extraction outlet.

Maintenance and Care

Always remove the battery before maintenance. Keep the tool and ventilation slots clean for safe and efficient operation. If the battery charge indicator shows a high defect risk (1 LED), it is recommended to replace the battery.
