The Bosch UniversalWorkLight 18V-2100 is a portable, battery-operated work light intended for temporary, mobile illumination in domestic settings. It is designed for supervised use only and is not permitted for road traffic.
Device description
The device features a lamp head, a light switch, a hook for hanging, a handle/stand, a battery charge indicator, and a magnet for mounting.

Operation
To operate, insert a charged battery into the battery holder until it clicks. Unfold the handle/stand and the hook if necessary to position the light. Ensure the light is on a stable surface and at a safe distance from heat-sensitive or flammable objects.

Switching on/off and adjusting brightness
- Press 1x: Low brightness
- Press 2x: Medium brightness
- Press 3x: Full brightness
- Press 4x or press and hold: Switch off
Battery management
The battery charge level can be checked via the indicator on the light or on the battery itself (if equipped). The light will flash three times shortly before switching off due to a low battery. Protect the battery from moisture and heat, and store it within the -20 °C to 50 °C range.
Safety and maintenance
Important safety warnings:
- Do not look directly into the light beam for prolonged periods.
- Keep the light away from medical implants (e.g., pacemakers) due to the integrated magnet.
- Remove the battery before transporting or storing the light to prevent accidental activation.
- Maintain a minimum distance of 0.1 m from illuminated surfaces to prevent overheating.
The device is maintenance-free. Clean the plastic lens only with a dry, soft cloth. If the light source is defective, the entire unit must be replaced.
