Quick guide from the manual

The Britax Skyline is a 2-stage belt-positioning booster seat. Before use, ensure your child meets the specific weight and height requirements for the chosen configuration. Always register your product with the manufacturer for safety recall notifications. The seat must be used in a forward-facing position only and requires a vehicle with a 3-point lap-shoulder belt system.

Features

The booster seat features an adjustable head restraint, shoulder belt guides, and optional cup holders. The base includes lower connectors (LUAS) for added stability, though the vehicle seat belt is the primary restraint for the child.

Care and maintenance

Cleaning: The booster covers can be removed by detaching the elastic loops from the base and backrest. Refer to the product care label for washing instructions. Do not bleach or iron. The shell can be sponge-cleaned with warm water and mild soap. Cup holders are dishwasher safe (top shelf only).

Safety warnings

Do not use the booster seat in a seating position with an active airbag unless it is deactivated. Do not use non-Britax accessories or covers. Discontinue use if the seat has been in a moderate or severe crash. Always ensure the seat is secured to the vehicle, even when unoccupied.

Practical help

Common problems

Click not heard when attaching lower connectors

Check for twisted straps or debris in the connector. Clear debris or untwist the strap before re-attempting.

Vehicle buckle position interferes with stability

Try a different seating position or consult your vehicle owner's manual to see if you can lower the buckle stalk by twisting it.

Booster seat overhangs the vehicle seat

Overhang is not allowed. The base must fit completely flat on the vehicle seat.

Before use

  • Verify your child meets the weight and height requirements for the chosen configuration (with or without backrest).
  • Ensure the vehicle seat has a 3-point lap-shoulder belt.
  • Check that the vehicle head restraint does not interfere with the booster seat's fit.
  • Register your child restraint with the manufacturer.
  • Inspect the seat and components for any damage before each use.
