Quick guide from the manual

The Dualit 11L Soup Kettle (Model: DSKH) is a professional-grade appliance designed to keep pre-heated food warm. It is not intended for cooking food. The unit supports both wet and dry heat operation and must be used on a stable, level surface with at least 200mm of clearance from walls and cupboards.

Setup and assembly

Before first use, wash the stainless steel liner and lid in warm soapy water. Place the collar on top of the main body and insert the stainless steel liner. Once assembled, the liner secures the collar and lid in place.

Operation modes

Wet heat operation: Add 200ml of water into the inner casting. Do not exceed the eight water level markers at the base. The liner must not float. Check water levels every 15 minutes and refill as needed to prevent evaporation and dry heating.

Dry heat operation: Increase the temperature setting by one number compared to the wet method to maintain the equivalent temperature.

General usage: Add pre-heated food to the liner. Rotate the temperature knob clockwise to the desired setting (1-8). The power light will illuminate. Always operate at the lowest possible temperature to minimize energy costs. Keep the lid closed when not serving.

Cleaning and maintenance

Switch off, unplug, and allow the unit to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a soft, moist cloth. The stainless steel liner and lid are machine washable. Do not use high-pressure water jets or steam cleaners. Never immerse the main body, power cord, or plug in water.

Safety precautions

  • Do not operate on an inclined plane.
  • Do not store or use in an appliance garage or under cupboards.
  • Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children under 8.
  • Always ensure the unit is earthed.
  • Do not overfill the liner.
  • If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Dualit or a qualified electrician.
