Product Overview

The Dualit EcoPress is a dedicated tool designed to simplify the recycling of used aluminium coffee capsules. It allows users to efficiently remove coffee grounds from capsules, enabling the aluminium to be recycled and the grounds to be composted or disposed of responsibly.

Safety Information

Warning: The EcoPress is only suitable for use with used aluminium coffee capsules. Always allow capsules to cool completely after extraction before attempting to use the device, as they will be hot.

How to Use

• Place the EcoPress bucket on a flat, stable surface.
• Align the markings on the lid and bucket, then twist to lock them securely in place.
• Place the used aluminium coffee capsule, foil side down, over the hole on the lid.
• Position the pusher over the bucket and apply firm, downward pressure with both hands to extract the grounds.
• Lift the pusher and remove the empty capsule. If using Dualit aluminium capsules, remember to remove the paper gasket.

Cleaning and Maintenance

The EcoPress bucket is designed to hold the coffee grounds of up to 10 aluminium capsules. To clean the device, it is suitable for the top rack of the dishwasher, provided a wash cycle below 40 degrees Celsius is used. For best results, rinse your capsules in a colander with washing-up water before processing.

Disposal and Recycling

Once the grounds have been removed, the aluminium capsule, paper gasket, and coffee grounds can be recycled or composted. The coffee grounds are suitable for home composting, food waste bins, or general waste bins. Please ensure you follow local recycling guidelines for aluminium materials.
