Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides instructions for the assembly, installation, and operation of Fanimation Leaf, Presidio Tryne, and Standard ceiling fans (Models HF7200, 7240, 7600). Key requirements include mounting the fan to an outlet box rated for at least 50 lbs (22.7 kg) and ensuring a minimum clearance of 7 feet from the floor to the blades. Electrical installation should be performed by a licensed electrician.
Electrical and Structural Requirements
- Requires a grounded 120V AC, 60Hz, 15A circuit.
- The outlet box must be securely anchored and rated for fan support.
- For Canada, the fan must be secured directly to the building structure or ceiling joist, not just an outlet box.
- The safety cable must be attached directly to the building structure using the provided lag bolt.
Assembly and Installation
Downrod Assembly: Assemble the downrod and sleeve kit according to the specific length required (6", 12", 18", or 24"+). Ensure the distance from the bottom of the collar to the end of the downrod is maintained as specified in the diagrams.
Fan Assembly: Remove the hanger ball, route wires through the downrod, and secure the downrod to the motor assembly using the clevis pin and hairpin clip. Reinstall the hanger ball and tighten the setscrews securely to prevent fan wobble.
Hanging the Fan: Attach the hanger bracket to the ceiling junction box. Seat the downrod/hanger ball assembly into the bracket, ensuring the groove in the ball aligns with the tab on the bracket. Attach the safety cable to the ceiling joist.
Wiring and Remote Control
The C22 remote control system uses 16 frequency code combinations. Both the transmitter and receiver must be set to the same code. Connect the green wires to the ground, black to black (motor), and white to white (motor). Total wattage for the light kit must not exceed 300 watts.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Periodic dusting of the blades is recommended using a feather duster. Do not use water, cleansers, or harsh rags, as these can damage the finish and create a risk of electrical shock.
Troubleshooting
- Fan will not start: Check fuses/circuit breakers, wire connections, and the remote control battery.
- Noisy operation: Check for loose screws in the motor housing, rattling wire connectors, or interference from solid-state speed controls.
- Excessive wobble: Tighten setscrews in the downrod support and hanger ball, check blade holder screws, and ensure the hanger bracket is securely fastened.
- Insufficient air movement: Consider using a longer downrod.
