This document provides essential instructions for the assembly, safe operation, and maintenance of the Fisher-Price HGB71 Lights & Sounds Tricycle. Adult assembly is required, taking approximately 45 minutes. The product is designed for children aged 2-6 years with a maximum weight limit of 27 kg (60 lb).

Safety and Warnings

• Continuous adult supervision is required at all times.
• Never use the tricycle near motor vehicles, streets, steps, sloped driveways, hills, roadways, alleys, swimming pools, or other bodies of water.
• Always ensure the child wears shoes while riding.
• Only one rider is permitted at a time.
• Start training children early on the importance of wearing a helmet that complies with bicycle helmet safety standards.

Assembly

Assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver, a hammer, and a scrap block of wood (not included). Identify all parts before starting and keep packaging until assembly is complete. Ensure all fasteners are tight and periodically inspect the product for wear or damage. Replace any broken or cracked plastic parts immediately.

Seat Adjustment

The seat can be attached to the frame in three different positions to accommodate your child's growth. Observe the seat-to-pedal distance while the child is riding; if the pedals are too far or too close, adjust the seat position accordingly.

Battery Installation

The tricycle requires three AA (LR6) alkaline batteries (not included). To install:

• Loosen the screws on the headlight cover and remove it.
• Open the battery compartment door.
• Insert three AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
• Close the compartment, tighten the screw, and replace the headlight cover.
• If sounds or lights become faint, replace the batteries. If the product operates erratically, remove and reinstall the batteries to reset the electronics.

Operation

The tricycle features interactive sounds and lights:

• Ignition: Turn the ignition button for engine sounds.
• Turn Signals: Press buttons for sounds and blinking lights.
• Music/Effects: Press the music or sound effect buttons.
• CB Radio: Press and release the CB radio button for radio sounds and phrases. Holding this button for 15 seconds puts the trike into sleep mode; press any button to wake it.

Maintenance

Clean the product using a mild soap and water solution with a clean cloth. Rinse with water to remove any soap residue. Regularly check all fasteners to ensure they remain tight.
