The Gourmia Cordless Speed Kettle Plus is designed for indoor household use only. Before using the kettle for the first time, fill it with clean water to the maximum capacity, boil it, and discard the water to ensure the device is clean. Always ensure the lid is closed properly before operation to allow the automatic shut-off feature to function correctly.

Safety Precautions

• Do not immerse the kettle, power base, or cord in water or any other liquid.
• Always unplug the kettle before filling, emptying, or cleaning.
• Do not overfill the kettle; keep water levels between the 0.5L (min) and 1.7L (max) indicators.
• Use only the provided power base.
• Do not operate the kettle while empty to prevent damage.
• Avoid touching the hot surface of the kettle; use the handle and knobs.
• If the kettle has been used for 5 minutes, allow it to cool for at least 30 minutes before the next use.

Using Your Device

Follow these steps to boil water:

1. Place the power base on a dry, flat surface.
2. Fill the kettle with water to the desired level (between 0.5L and 1.7L).
3. Close the lid securely.
4. Place the kettle onto the power base.
5. Plug the cord into a grounded power outlet.
6. Push the switch to the "on" position.
7. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water has boiled.

Note: Do not force the switch into the "on" position during the cooling down time, as this can damage the operating mechanism.

Cleaning and Care

Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent.

Descaling

To maintain efficiency, descale the kettle at least twice a year:

• Fill the kettle to the "max" mark with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water.
• Switch on and wait for the appliance to switch off automatically.
• Let the mixture remain inside the kettle overnight.
• Discard the mixture the next morning.
• Fill the kettle with clean water to the "max" mark and boil again.
• Discard the boiled water and rinse the inside with clean water.

Storage and Disposal

Ensure the product is dry before storing. Place in a cool, dry area to avoid humidity if not used for long periods. This product must be disposed of separately from ordinary household waste as electrical and electronic waste.
