Anatomy of the LUX Multi-Cooker

The unit features a removable cooking pot, a stationary outer pot, a control panel, a temperature sensor, a heating element, and a condensation reservoir. The lid includes a silicone gasket that must be properly positioned for the unit to function.

Pressure regulator knob

The regulator knob controls the cooking mode. To remove it for cleaning: press down while turning it counterclockwise past the STEAM setting to the CLEAN position, then carefully lift it off.

Operating instructions

Before cooking, align the dot on the base with either STEAM or PRESSURE on the regulator knob, depending on the selected function. After setting the mode, press the START/STOP button to begin. The unit will beep and switch to KEEP WARM automatically once the cooking time is finished. To cancel, press the START/STOP button.

Cooking programs

  • Pressure Cook: Set knob to PRESSURE. Press PRESSURE COOK button (once for HIGH, twice for LOW).
  • Slow Cook: Set knob to STEAM. Press SLOW COOK button (once for HIGH, twice for LOW).
  • Rice Programs: Set knob to PRESSURE. Select WHITE RICE, BROWN RICE, or RISOTTO.

Safety and maintenance

  • Do not fill the pot more than 2/3 full with food and liquid.
  • Do not fill more than 1/2 full when cooking foods that expand.
  • Check the silicone gasket periodically to ensure it is clean, flexible, and not torn.
  • If the START/STOP button is not pressed after cooking, the unit will beep periodically and remain in KEEP WARM mode.
